From Selvage to Salvage

NEW PRODUCTS DESIGNED AND CREATED BY FEMALE ARTISANS USING UP-CYCLED ESKAYEL FABRIC REMNANTS

May 5th – 7th, 2017, Eskayel’s new Williamsburg showroom will be open
all weekend for an event celebrating the intersection of contemporary
design with education and employment opportunities to alleviate
poverty for artisan women.

Made from up-cycled Eskayel fabric remnants, limited edition
collaborations will include baskets & bowls hand made by Rwandan artisans
in collaboration with Indego Africa, sustainable adornments by Tamika Rivera
of CUYO, and pouches & purses made by Honduran artisans
in collaboration with Mi Esperanza. A selection of new upholstered items,
flat weave rugs, prints and more will also be available.

Proceeds from the sale will go back to non profit organizations
Indego Africa and Mi Esperanza.
