When I got the first basket prototypes it took about a day for my pit bull rescue, Kaya, to climb in and claim one for her own. since then she pretty much spends every day in her basket. Lately other people have sent me pictures of their dogs climbing into their baskets. My question to you is “What design savvy pup wouldn’t want a stylish basket to lie in?”
And since dog beds are generally horrendous looking, what discerning dog owner wouldn’t spring a little extra cash for a comfy doggy basket that doubles as a beautiful accessory designed to add sophistication to any room?
This is the house of Venezuelan architect Pedro Useche in São Paulo, Brazil as seen on Yatzer. Living in the concrete jungle that I do, my craving for greenery is strong and the way the green space is intentionally used as a design element in this house is very appealing.
We just completed this custom wallpaper job for a client who asked for a custom color of our Madagascar pattern. They also asked that the pattern fade slowly to white as the wall extended beyond the kitchen to create a sense of separation between the kitchen and the stairwell.
This is a mock up of the design they chose to install.
I love working with clients on custom ideas and custom colors and since our patterns are printed digitally we can accommodate custom designs at little more cost than the price of our standard products.
Check out this article on recycling items to create interesting design elements by Marni Elyse Katz at The Inside Source. She included a photo from this blog and an Eskayel mention. Thank you Marni!

If you’re going upstate this weekend and will be in the Catskills or Hudson Valley area you should definitely come to our Foolsgold Sanctuary exhibition and benefit from 6-9 PM at 1 Mile Gallery. We will have cocktails, snacks, and amazing artwork on auction at recession prices (all opening bids are below $600). Proceeds will benefit the nearby Catskills Animal Sanctuary. I would really love to see you there.
I love what you have done this summer with VitraHaus in collaboration with Maharam and their digital prints. I especially love the above picture, the exquisite pattern “New World” by Francesco Simeti, the furniture and plants are all so wonderfully put together.
Someday in the future I hope to be involved in such a wonderful collaboration of digital wallpaper and classic furniture!
