Design Trade

For interior designers, architects, and members of the design trade, we are pleased to offer trade pricing, complimentary samples for specific projects with a sidemark, and design consultations. To open a trade account, please register online, fill out our trade application, and email a copy of your resale certificate or business license to info@eskayel.com. Once your account is verified, we will send you a welcome packet with a selection of complimentary samples (including up to five specific patterns of your choice).

Domestic Orders

We ship all products UPS/FedEx ground unless otherwise specified. Delivery times vary according to destination. Eskayel cannot be held responsible for delays occurring when a package is in transit. Whenever possible, we recycle boxes and packaging material; it’s our tiny contribution to saving the planet from more waste. Please note: Orders over $100 require a signature unless specifically waived by the receiver.If delivery signature is waived, Eskayel cannot be held responsible for missing packages. Fees apply for address changes made after an order has shipped and for returned packages.

International Orders

Eskayel ships internationally to most countries around the world, with Canada and Mexico considered international destinations. While all goods shipped domestically within North America are USMCA certified, orders over $20 sent via commercial carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc) may incur clearing fees and taxes, which are the responsibility of the buyer. Please note: Many countries charge import duties and/or customs fees. All import and custom fees are the responsibility of the buyer to be paid upon delivery. Fees vary from order to order and cannot be estimated. If you are unaware of your country’s duty policies or charges, please contact your postal authority for more information.

Sample Orders

All samples are sent via USPS and should arrive within two weeks of ordering, unless selected samples are out of stock. While tracking is not available, shipping is free within the US for standard size samples. Sample orders over $50 are shipped via UPS with tracking. If expedited samples are required, please contact us.

Returns & Exchanges

Eskayel does not accept returns. All of our products are made to order. We strongly recommend purchasing samples before ordering large goods. If you believe the product you received is defective and it has not been used or installed, please contact us within 10 days of delivery to review your issue.

Sale of Goods

We believe that our products are of the highest quality, with the ability to serve their intended purpose. When purchasing our products, customers must take into consideration the conditions of their intended site and particular situation. Any and all product defects should be reported immediately upon discovery, prior to installation or processing of any manner. Our liability will not exceed the value of the products in question. We are not liable for loss of profits and consequential, financial, or any other losses.

Lead Times

Eskayel items are custom made to order. Products are available through our online shop, by email, or by phone. Standard lead times measured from the date payment is made to the date the items are shipped. Lead times do not include shipping or bespoke color sampling.

Wallpaper lead time: 4 to 6 weeks

Fabric and pillow lead time: 2 to 4 weeks

Rug lead time: 4 to 6 months

In-stock items ship within 2 weeks

Rush service is available for most items, for a fee

Payment is required in full to commence production of any order. Accepted payment methods include, check, credit card, wire transfer, and cash.

What makes Eskayel wallpaper different? 

Every Eskayel wallpaper pattern begins as an original piece of watercolor art painted by our founder, Shanan Campanaro. The artisanal designs are deeply rooted in travel and the natural world. We print to order in small batches using eco-friendly water-based inks. Nothing is factory-made and nothing is digitally generated. Our more than 800 patterns span botanical, tropical, abstract, geometric, and figurative motifs. 

Is Eskayel wallpaper hand-painted? 

Yes, every pattern in the Eskayel collection originates as a hand-painted original artwork by our founder and creative director, Shanan Campanaro. The designs are created using watercolor and ink wash techniques. Paintings are then translated into wallpaper, fabric, rugs, and art prints through an eco-friendly production process using water-based inks and responsibly sourced materials.

What motifs and styles does Eskayel offer? 

Our collection spans a range of styles and motifs to suit modern design sensibilities: botanical and tropical patterns, abstract and painterly designs, geometric patterns, floral wallpapers, figurative and conversational prints, and large-scale murals. Our minimal color wash wallpapers offer a design inventive substitute for paint. Styles range from bold and maximalist to minimal and subtle, with colorways in every family from dusty blue and warm terracotta to navy, sage green, blush, and rich neutrals.

What color families does Eskayel carry? 

Our palette spans a broad spectrum designed to suit luxury residential and hospitality projects. Current colorways include warm neutrals (Ricotta, Sol, Sand), minimal cool neutrals (Ink, Shadow, Slate), botanical greens (Arugula, Sage, Jasmine), ocean-inspired blues and teals (Tide Pool, Pool, Lake), warm earth tones (Terracotta, Golden Hour, Frangipani), rich jewel tones (Eggplant, Hibiscus, Pomegranate), and multicolor statement patterns. When searching for a specific color, our online filter enables browsing by color family.

We offer trade pricing, complimentary project samples with a sidemark, design consultations, and a dedicated trade account program. Can Eskayel products be used in commercial or hospitality spaces? 

Yes. We offer contract wallcovering and commercial-grade fabric specifically designed for high-traffic environments including hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality spaces. Our contract wallcovering has Type II durability, a Class A fire rating, and low VOC emissions – and can contribute toward LEED credits. Commercial fabric exceeds 50,000 double rub durability. Both contract wallcovering and commercial fabric are available to trade customers only.

What’s the most important thing to know when ordering wallpaper from Eskayel? 

We always recommend ordering samples before placing a full wallpaper or fabric order. Colors shown on screen are a representation only, and our patterns are rich with detail that is best appreciated in person. Samples are free within the US and ship via USPS. Do I need a sample before placing an order for wallpaper or fabric?
We always recommend ordering samples before placing a full order for our custom one-of-a-kind fabrics and luxury wallcoverings. Colors shown on screen are a representation only, and our patterns are rich with detail that is best appreciated in person. Samples are free within the US and ship via USPS.

Can I obtain a rug sample?
Each one of our studio-designed rugs is custom hand-knotted to order in Nepal. We keep a limited number of rug samples in stock so that you can experience these artisanal wool and silk creations for yourself. Samples are available on loan, so contact us to arrange to see our distinctive rugs up close.

How long will fabric and wallpaper samples take?
So that you can see our painterly fabrics and watercolor wallpapers in person, we send samples via USPS. Shipping is free within the US for standard size samples. Sample orders arrive within two weeks. If you need expedited sample shipping, just contact us.

Are any products available to purchase immediately?
We sometimes have a selection of floor samples of studio-made pillows and hand-knotted rugs that are ready to ship. These in-stock items can be sent out within two weeks, so browse our in-stock inventory online. 

What if I need my order in a hurry?
We‘re happy to arrange a rush service for many items. Please contact us to inquire about availability and fees.

What forms of payment can I use to make a purchase?
You can complete your purchase by check, credit card, wire transfer, or cash. For all custom orders of our painterly wallpapers, small-batch fabrics, and hand-knotted rugs, we require full payment before initiating production.

How long will my order take?
With over 800 pattern and colorway combinations available across our archive, the majority of Eskayel items are made to order. Standard lead times are measured from the date of payment to the date items are shipped (sampling and shipping times not included). Hand-painted wallpaper lead time is four to six weeks; custom fabric and pillow lead time is two to three weeks; hand-knotted rug lead time is four to six months.

How will my products be shipped?
We ship orders using UPS or FedEx ground, with delivery times varying according to destination. While we provide full tracking to help you monitor your order’s progress, please note that Eskayel can’t be held responsible for shipping delays once a package is in transit. 

Is a signature required on delivery?
Orders over $100 require a signature. You can waive the signature if you like, but we don’t recommend it. (When the delivery signature is waived, we can’t be held responsible for missing packages.) 

Can I change my shipping address?
You can, but please note that fees apply for address changes made after an order has shipped. Processing a package that is returned to us will also incur a fee.

Do you ship internationally?
We ship to most countries around the world, with Canada and Mexico considered international destinations. Be sure to request samples before placing your custom order so you can experience the quality, composition, and colors of our artisanal wallcoverings, luxury fabrics, and one-of-a-kind rugs. If you receive a product that you believe is defective, please contact us before using or installing it and within 10 days of delivery.

What are Eskayel’s terms and conditions?
We believe that our one-of-a-kind products are the highest quality with the ability to serve their intended purpose. As all of our items are made to order, any concerns about product defects must be raised prior to installation. Where are the Eskayel showrooms?
Our two showrooms are open by appointment only. Our East Coast showroom address is 75 South 6th Street, Ground Floor, Brooklyn, New York 11249. Our West Coast showroom address is 128 West E Street, Encinitas, California 92024. Please contact us to book an appointment to visit.

What fabric options can I choose from?
Eskayel’s painterly fabrics are made to order in a choice of four grounds. Printed locally using water-based inks, these are available across all of our hand-painted patterns and immersive colorways. Our 100% linen comes in small batches from Italy and Belgium in two weights, oyster linen and heavyweight linen. We also offer an enhanced linen/nylon blend and a 50/50 linen/cotton blend, both of which are suitable for upholstery. All standard fabric options are 54” wide. The minimum order is one yard (we don’t sell half-yard increments).

What wallpaper options can I choose from?
Eskayel’s watercolor wallpapers are printed to order on three luxurious substrates selected for their exceptional quality and environmental credentials.

Classic Clay Coated Wallpaper: Our classic wallpaper is a clay coated paper manufactured with responsibly sourced fiber by suppliers who adhere to a globally recognized forestry chain of custody program. Our most traditional paper, it comes in a standard roll size of 27” by 15ft. Single, double, triple, and quadruple rolls are available.

Grasscloth: Available in single rolls only, this luxury wallcovering is constructed of a handwoven earth-friendly sisal fiber backed with chemical-free paper and printed with water-based latex inks. Roll size is 33” by 21ft. Single, double, triple, and quadruple rolls are available

Silk: Our silk wallcoverings are created from original artwork and printed to order in the U.S. using water-based inks on 100% silk backed with chemical-free paper. Single, double, triple, and quadruple rolls are available

How do I calculate the quantity of wallpaper I need?
We understand ordering wallpaper for a space can be tricky, so we’re always happy to help you calculate how much you’ll need. Please contact us with your wall height and width dimensions, as well as drawings if possible. We’ll work to give you the most accurate estimate possible, but we always recommend consulting your wallpaper installer to confirm final quantities.

What is Eskayel’s allowance for product variations?
As a result of the bespoke, small-batch nature of our products, variations can occur. Fluctuations in the digital printing process, textures of woven natural fibers, and custom yarn dying can contribute to variation, imbuing your product with a hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind quality. We do strive to retain consistency but allowances are made for up to 10% variation. Please note that due to varying inks, printing systems, and material lots, wallpapers and fabrics of the same pattern do not always precisely align in color and scale.

Do you offer contract wallcovering?
For hospitality, hotel, and restaurant projects, our contract wallcovering is an eco-friendly commercial grade wallcovering that’s available only to our registered trade customers. It contains a minimum of 31% post-consumer recycled content and is itself recyclable. With Type II durability, a Class A fire rating, and low VOC emissions, this wallcovering contributes to improved air quality and can go towards earning up to 6 LEEDs credits. The minimum order is 20 yards, with volume discounts available for larger orders. The width of the print area is 48” or 52” depending on the pattern, and can be printed up to 45 yards in length.

Do you offer commercial-use fabric?
Across our entire archive of over 800 painterly patterns, Eskayel offers special high tech performance fabric for outdoor and contract use. This material exceeds 50,000 double rub durability and can be treated for NFPA 260, NFPA 701, and CAL 117. Specific natural fiber textiles meant for heavy traffic areas or commercial use can be supplied with commercial coatings to meet industry fire rating guidelines and rub tests, and to provide stain resistance while preventing color wear. Weave downs and bulk pricing are available depending on quantities. Please note that commercial-use fabrics are available to only to our registered trade customers.
