The Nonna's Lace Collection

Our Nonna's Lace collection was birthed on one of Shanan Campanaro’s recent visits to the Italian home of her ancestors. An exploration of a vintage market sparked an interest in traditional lace. In interpreting the regimented grids through watercolor paint, Shanan played with the positive and negative space to introduce a looser, more organic feel. The results are three duotone compositions for wallpaper and fabric that fuse traditional artisanship with graphic rhythm.
